ORCKA Basic Canoeing Level 1 & 2 Tandem

Basic Canoeing Level 1 and 2 (Tandem) is an introduction to canoeing. The candidate will demonstrate safe behaviour while becoming comfortable paddling in a tandem canoe. Suitable for inexperienced canoers. Children a minimum of eight years old can take the course at the Basic 1 level.

Prerequisites

There are no canoeing prerequisites for Basic Canoeing Level 1.

Location:Earl Rowe Provincial Park, near Alliston Ontario


Physical Difficulty:

Long days in the canoe. Participant must be comfortable in water with lifejacket. Some lifting and caring of the canoe (not required if the person is young or has physical difficulties)

What's Included:

Canoe, paddle, lifejacket, safety equipment and instruction

What's not Included:

Transportation, food, parking fees, camp fees or accommodation
