Registration

All registrations are on a first come, first served (paid) basis. To be registered for a program full payment is required prior to program start date.

How to register:

1) We suggest emailing or calling the office to make sure there is room in the program. We may need to discuss prerequisites.

2) Registration can only be done online:

ONLINE:Navigate to the program you wish to register for. Select the “Buy Now” button and follow the directions for registration. Your receipt will automatically be emailed to you followed by a confirmation email with 24 hours. If a third party is using their credit card to register an individual, only the credit card holder can enter their name in the PayPal information field. Add the program registrant's name and contact information in the "Shipping address" field by deselecting the "Same as billing address" check box. If you have any information you want to pass on you can select "Notes to Instructor->Add" and write in the note field any information you want the instructor to know.

We use PayPal to process credit cards. A PayPal account is not required.

Once registered you will receive a receipt by email. A confirmation package with program times, gear list and waiver will also be emailed to you. If you do not have an email address we will mail the package. On your credit card statement you will see a charge from “PayPal - Akuni Inc.”.


Registration Policies

CANCELLATIONS

There is a full refund for cancellations more than 30 days prior to the program. 50% refund for cancellations up to 14 days. No refunds within 14 days of program start date. There will be no credit or refund if a participant is late for a program or otherwise does not show up at the time of departure. Full payment will be refunded if a program is cancelled because of insufficient enrolment or at the discretion of Akuni Adventures.

MEDICAL EXPENSES

If it should be necessary to use a doctor or hospital, this expense will be passed on to the participant or his/her family. Citizens other than Canadians should have medical reimbursement insurance. If a participant must be sent home during a program the participant or his family will be charged the transportation expenses including flight, if necessary. Special insurance to cover the said costs is the responsibility of the participant.

HEALTH AND LIABILITY

All participants must be of satisfactory health and fitness for the kind of program they are undertaking. Any physical or medical problems that may require attention during the program should be discussed fully before the course begins. We do not assume responsibility for loss or damage to persons or property before, during or after a course. All participants must sign an assumption of risk waiver and medical form before commencement of the program. Participants are responsible for their own personal insurance. The use of illegal drugs or alcohol is prohibited at all times during programs. We reserve the right to change itineraries if forced to by weather, fire, illness, safety, etc.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Information submitted by the participant is for internal business use only. Akuni Adventures does not supply personal information in any way to other agencies (i.e. mailing lists). Medical information is kept strictly confidential between the guide and the client.
